We had the promise of sun breaks by the time we made it to the lake, but the weather report changed soon after arriving and instead of sun we got low clouds and rain. This was disappointing because of the beautiful rock formations around the lake we were unable to see. It was beautiful in its own right, but nothing close to what we've seen in photos.  I'll have to come back another day to give a full report.

There's a massive rock outcropping where this photo was taken called Lunch Rock. It slopes down to the water which is aqua and clear on a good day.

The hike sounds easy enough, but the last section past the break-off trail to the Bridal Veil Falls is a killer. It's climbing the whole time with multiple ladder steps all the way up. Until that point the trail is relatively flat.

Bridal Veil Falls is accessed from an off-shoot trail. It's a tough hike up to these falls, but they are pretty amazing. Beautiful live, but difficult to photograph well.

This is the outlet from the lake. It's a bit clogged
