The trail to Otter falls is long but flat. If you have more stamina than quads, you'll be just fine. The payoff at the end is a very unique, picturesque 1200 ft waterfall that cascades down the face of a massive granite mountainside. There's even a small sandy beach to enjoy and very little crowds. Dogs are allowed and will no doubt take a dip in the small Lipsy Lake at the base of the falls.

The trail takes you through second growth forest so you are in the shade most of the time. This would be a great hike for a hot summer day. After 4+ miles look for a cairn (rock pile) at the Otter Falls trailhead which climbs into the forest where the trail all but disappears. After about 500 yards you will reach the crest of a hill and the falls will come into view. Continue down to the beach and enjoy. You'll only be able to see the last 500 feet of the falls from here, but it's an impressive 500 feet.
